Further Study

Below are a few examples of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, comics, manga, other image-text hybrids, film, animation, music, music videos, theory, criticism, other nonfiction, literary journals, websites, and organizations that have helped me think about fairy tale themes and motifs in new ways. I've also included here some texts that I would categorize more broadly as "fantastical," meaning they have some element of magic, magical realism, fabulism, surrealism, or supernatural allegory in them. This is far, far from a comprehensive list--these are just some of the things that have influenced me, shaped my thoughts, or inspired me. I am adding to it all the time as I read, watch, listen, study, and learn more!  -- Catherine
